red letter day

well, today's been one of those days you have to experience to believe actually happened, and we're only halfway done.

first up, spotted my first coyote - a coyote pup - on the bike trail...aka w&od trail...this morning. could not believe my eyes. we knew it was only a matter of time they hit vienna after reports they had crossed the potomac from rock creek park, but, well, you know. i've seen just about everything else on the trail, including being chased by a crazy raccoon, but this was really something. next up, wolves and bears!

next, dropped off a big check to a small media firm here in vienna to retain their services to design a logo and develop a web site for me. we'll get started in earnest the first half of january....

last, swung by donnelly's to check out a proof for the martin's cmas letter and wound up also picking up my cmas cards they printed for me. i asked how much, telling them they had better charge me like any other regular client, and they replied, no charge. instead, a cmas gift to me from them. which is all music to my starving artist's ears! God bless the donnelly's gang, themselves a small business!
